Expanding creatively from the restrictions we’ve had during lockdown, STARTING NOW - UNTIL 17TH SEPTEMBER, I’m inviting Wales-dwellers to nurture our connection to our immediate surroundings, by actively listening and documenting the sounds we hear through making visual 'sound maps' & short recordings, and sharing them with stories, memories and words, which I will turn into musical-storytelling performance and more... It has plenty of space to evolve, alongside whoever wants to get involved – there will be free online workshops, an accumulative online soundscape blog and a variety of ways to participate if you would like to help co-create a Wales-wide Soundmap!

Bydda i’n gweithio gyda naturiaethwr ifanc a ffotograffydd bywyd gwyllt Ben Porter, artist gweledol Penny Tristam, gwneuthurwr ffilmiau Ashley Leung o Tiny House Creatives, storïwr Lisa Schneidau a fydd yn rhoi rhywfaint o fentoriaeth i mi, a Badger Brown am gymorth gyda thechnoleg sain. Diolch enfawr i Naomi Wilds a Sandra Bendelow hefyd am eu cefnogaeth yn ystod y broses ymgeisio a allai yn wir wedi bod yn ormod I mi!!

I will be working with young naturalist and wildlife photographer Ben Porter, visual artist Penny Tristam, film-maker Ashley Leung from Tiny House Creatives, storyteller Lisa Schneidau who will be giving me some mentorship, and Badger Brown for help with sound technology. Massive thanks to Naomi Wilds and Sandra Bendelow too for support during the application process, which may well have been beyond me otherwise!
